EGYPT
The Arab Republic of Egypt is located on the north-east corner of Africa, it is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Red Sea to the east, Libya to the west and Sudan to the south. It’s capital city which is also the biggest city in Egypt is Cairo, its second largest city, Alexandria, located at the Mediterranean coast is an important industrial and tourist hub, Egypt has an approximate population of 107 million people.

Ancient Egypt
Civilization left a lot of monuments and temples that later became attractions for modern-day visitors to Egypt. Some of the major attractions include:
Pyramids– More the 70 pyramids are found along the Nile, the three pyramids of Giza being the most famous, a lion bodied guard, known as the Sphinx, stands besides the Pyramids. The pyramids are said to have been built more than 4000 years ago, and the three kings during which the pyramids were built, king Mykerinos, Cheops and Kefren were buried in the pyramids, with the pyramid of Cheops being the largest at 145m in height often referred to as the Great Pyramid.
Valley of the Kings– located in Thebes, however due to theft from tombs within pyramids, 26 pharaohs of the eighteenth to twentieth dynasties, had their tombs carved into the rock of the Valley of Kings. There are other tombs in the Valley of Queens, where, queens, princesses, princes and other high ranking officials were buried.
Saqqara Complex– located 24 kilometers south of central Cairo, there are 12 pyramids found here, apart from the pyramids, Tour companies offer sunrise rides in hot-air balloons to tourists who enjoy views of ancient Thebes, the temple complexes of Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens.
The Nile Cruises
Cruises are offered along the Nile ranging from short tours between Luxor and Aswan to longer cruises that include the northern town of Dendera.
In the past, it used to work all the way from Cairo to Aswan for more than two weeks, but due to the development of the Nile, they stopped doing Nile Cruises all the way from Cairo, and it is now working from Luxor to Aswan, but a few Nile Cruises have started again to do long Cruise from Cairo to Aswan.
Beaches
Egypt has many beautiful beaches, including those on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
Other attractions include Art and temples in cities across the country and Handicrafts in some cities
