After breakfast, relax around the hotel while recovering from jetlag and getting used to the altitude, our company representative will meet you at the hotel, after briefing leave for the Giraffe Centre.

The best time to visit the Giraffe Centre is 9-12 as its less crowded hence you can feed the giraffes comfortably.
After your time with the giraffe, you can either eat at the restaurant in Mamba village or stop at a mall for lunch. Be at Mamba Village by 4.30 as you wait for the feeding time 5.00pm and watch as the crocodiles feed on the meat.
Dinner and Overnight at Sarova PanAfric

Mt Kenya has several routes but for this itinerary we will use the Sirimon/ Chogoria route, Leave Nairobi at 8.00am arriving and drive through central Kenya and proceed towards Nyeri where you can get a nice view of Mt. Kenya and the Aberdares ranges when the weather permits.

Continue with the drive and have a brief stopover at the Equator near Nanyuki the base town where you will have lunch and start the 14 Days Mount Kenya Coast safari.

Pick the team, cook and porters then proceed to Sirimon gate 2,650m. After clearing with the park authority, we will start the hike through the forest accompanied by the guide.
Approximate walk: 4 hrs (9km)

After breakfast, hike through the moorland viewing high attitude flowers, animals and birds species to Shipton camp 4,200m. at the bottom of the peaks. ( 6-7hrs walk POLE POLE). Approximate walk: 6-7 hrs (14km)

A day is spent for acclimatization and you take a hike up to the Hausburg col. 4,600m. and later return back to Shipton camp for lunch, dinner and overnight. 3-4 hrs.

This will be the longest day on the trip. Take an early morning tea and at around 02.30 am start the climbing along a lose scree which sometimes of the year is covered with snow to reach the summit of Peak Lenana (4,985M) (3hrs) the third peak in Mt. Kenya to catch the sunrise. After a superb view from the summit as far as Mt. Kilimanjaro to the south, descend to Mintos camp (3hrs) to the Eastern side of the peaks where you will meet with your cook and porters for breakfast. After the breakfast, descend through a scenic trail on Chogoria route viewing the fascinating Gorges Valley to Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas camp 2,950m for hot shower dinner and overnight ( 6hrs). Lunch served enroute. (Total 12+ hrs).

After breakfast, descend for 2hrs through the rain forest to connect your transfer off the mountain to Chogoria town, here you will part with the team and drive back to Nanyuki, from there via the Nyeri- Nyahururu highway (B5) to the next phase ot this 14 Days Mount Kenya Coast safari, proceed to Nakuru arriving in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and enjoy a game drive en-route to Lake Naivasha. Arrive at the Lake Naivasha Kongoni lodge in time for lunch, after wards catch a boat ride across the lake to the crescent Island, glide past hippos and fish as you watch birds. Have a guided walking safari on the Island walking past feeding antelopes, buffalos, zebras and more. Return for dinner and overnights at the Lake Naivasha Kongoni lodge. Approximate transit : 2 hrs

After breakfast and check out, drive through the Great Rift Valley towards the Mara arriving in time for lunch. Have an afternoon game drive going back to the lodge in the afternoon for dinner. Dinner and overnight at a Mara Enkorok Approximate transit : 5 hrs

Go on full day game drive carrying your packed lunch, see lions, cheetahs, hyena among other predators. If you visit during the great migration season the happens annually July-October get to see the wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River in search of food and water. Have your lunch beside the Mara River while looking out for Hippos and Crocodiles. In the afternoon visit the Masai village, heading back to the hotel after for dinner and over night. Today you wake up early, after breakfast you will drive to Nairobi to catch a flight to Mombasa. Depending on your flight, you may have a stop over for lunch along the way or carry packed lunch from the hotel. The flight to Mombasa takes approximately 1hrs 10min Dinner and overnight at Voyager beach resort

After breakfast, spend your day relaxing and catching some sun. You can have a coastal tour and afterwards go swimming at the beach or the hotel pool. Transfer from your hotel to train terminus, the train takes approximately 6 hours. This marks the end of your Mount Kenya Coast and Safari trip. Transfer to the airport/ next destination is arranged.
