Aberdare Walking Safari Overview
Aberdare National Park is located in Central Kenya, in Nyandarua county. It boasts of a large number of Elephants as well as Black Rhinos. Apart from Safaris, Aberdare also offers good hiking trails and nice views of the landscapes and amazing waterfalls. Aberdare Ranges is home to the biggest waterfall in Kenya, the Karuru Falls, a breathtaking site that is 273m below the viewing point. The ranges sits in 5 different counties; Laikipia, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Murang’a and Kiambu counties.
Apart from Elephants, the ranges is also home to buffalos, giraffes, blue and colobus monkey, leopard, lion, warthog, giant forest hog, eland, red duiker, Eastern Bongo, reedbuck and bushbuck, also present but rarely seen is the black Leopard.
