6 Days Naromoru-Chogoria Mount Kenya hiking

Depart Nairobi in the morning and driving through central Kenya to arrive at Naromoru in time for lunch, later dinner and overnight in a hotel. Afternoon walk will be recommended for acclimatization where you visit the MauMau cave or villages around.

After breakfast, drive to Naromoru Park Gate and after checking in, start hiking to through the forest to Met Station. The hiking takes about 4 hrs. Dinner and overnight.

Depart Met Station after breakfast and proceed to the moorland where our guide will help you to identify various high altitude flowers and vegetation and up the Teleki Valley arriving Mackinders Camp early evening. Picnic lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast ascending along a steep screw to Austrian Hut. Covering this distance takes about 3 hrs. for lunch, dinner and overnight.

Departing at 5:30 am, proceed through Lewis Glacier to Point Lenana(4985m) arriving approx. 6:30 am in the morning. After the sunrise, descend down to Mintos Hut for full breakfast. Later descend along the famous Gorges Valley to Chogoria Bandas /campsite. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set on morning journey to chogoria (32 km). You will hike for 2 – 3 hour and then our vehicle will pick you for a transfer off the mountain, climbers have to walk some distance or the car can pick you up at the bandas. From Chogoria transport is provided back to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon marking the end of your 6 Days mount kenya Climb Naromoru-Chogoria .
